Clark County Board seeks applicants for Solid Waste Advisory Commission

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Councilors is seeking applicants who live in Clark County to fill three volunteer positions on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission:

• One representing citizens of Clark County at large;

• One representing citizens of southeast Clark County and living south of 179th Street and east of State Highway 503; and

• One owner or employee of a business located in Clark County to represent business interests.

Commission members serve three-year terms. The volunteer group meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Auto Licensing and Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St.

Members make recommendations to the Board of Clark County Councilors on solid waste, landfills, transfer stations, recycling, waste reduction and related issues.
