How Restaurants Can Reduce Food, Packaging Waste

The EPA has launched a free toolkit for food services providers and restaurants to help reduce food and packaging waste, saving the facilities money and lessening environmental impacts.

The toolkit includes a guide and a spreadsheet tracking tool.

In other efforts to curb food waste, a steering committee of global organizations is developing a protocol aimed at helping countries reduce food loss and waste, according to the World Resources Institute.
