2014 Jefferson Awards
Nominate an outstanding community volunteer for

nationally-recognized public service award

Washington Nonprofits is pleased to join CityClub in promoting the 2014 Jefferson Awards.  Nominate all-star but "unsung" heroes who demonstrate the highest ideals and achievements in service to your community in Washington.

In the spirit of the Olympics in Sochi this winter, Seattle CityClub will honor "Gold Medals” to five Washingtonians through the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. This "Nobel Prize” for public service awards people who make a difference in their community, our nation and the world through their jobs or volunteer service.

Washingtonians are encouraged to nominate volunteer champions for the 2014 Washington State Jefferson Awards, a national recognition established in 1972 by the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Senator Robert Taft Jr. The award recognizes all-star but "unsung” heroes each year who demonstrate the highest ideals and achievements of community service.

"Gold medal” winners will be judged by a panel of community leaders and they will be formally recognized at a special reception in April. Winners will receive gifted consultation services provided by Wimmer Solutions to help them enhance their community service projects. One winner will be selected as to represent our state at the national ceremonies in Washington D.C.
