WSRA Logo Contest for May 2014 Conference

Winner receives $400 cash prize


Tukwila, WA – September 10, 2013 - The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA), is holding an innovative contest to find a logo that embodies the spirit of the association’s 34th annual conference and trade show: "Nurturing Our Roots, Growing Our Future,” a three-day statewide event to be held May 4-7, 2013 at The Hilton in Vancouver, WA.


The contest is a great opportunity for emerging or experienced artists and graphic designers to showcase their abilities and contribute to a nonprofit association that provides recycling and waste reduction education throughout Washington State. The contest will run through 11:59pm PDT on Sunday, October 6, 2013.


The winner will be announced on October 16, 2013 and will receive a $400 prize as well as recognition for their design throughout WSRA publications.


"The contest will provide a great opportunity for local artists to contribute to our association,” said Emily Phillips, WSRA Executive Director. "We look forward to reviewing all logo entries and encourage artists to be creative, have fun and be inspired by our mission.”


To enter the contest, applicants must submit their logo design with a $15 entry fee using an online entry form. Complete contest rules and entry information can be found at Entry fees will be used to fund WSRA’s educational programs.


A showcase for the latest recycling, re-use, and waste reduction programs and technology,  WSRA’s 2014 conference and trade show will feature leading-edge educational sessions, celebrated local and national experts and speakers, enjoyable networking events, and over 30 exhibit hall displays.


The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA), formed in 1976, is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit  association that provides leadership, networking, advocacy and education to foster the expansion, diversity and economic vitality of recycling in support of sustainable resource management.
