Join the WSRA at this Fall Forum to hear about policies and legislation including the impacts of the China National Sword policy on our state’s recycling infrastructure. Speakers will provide an overview of China’s ban on 24 categories of waste and recyclables that is slated to take effect on January 1, 2018. China is the primary buyer for many of these materials which include various grades of plastics and mixed papers. Already, export permit licenses are not being renewed and local brokers are having difficulty finding markets for various materials. Let’s talk about what this means for recycling programs and what the future holds. Closer to home, the short 60 day session in the Washington legislature begins in January. Hear from industry lobbyists and policy experts about bills that will be introduced and the impact they may have on the recycling and solid waste industry.

We are no longer accepting RSVPs for this event. We hope to see you at another WSRA event soon, check back often HERE.
