This webinar is designed to provide an overview of resources that can be extracted from diverted food wastes and describe results from EREF-funded research that illustrate how the hydrothermal carbonization process may be used to facilitate their recovery. Participants will acquire an understanding of the hydrothermal carbonization process and factors influencing resource recovery using hydrothermal carbonization, as well as how this resource recovery approach compares with that associated with other waste management processes.

Price: $79.00 USD

Upon completion of this webinar, the attendee will be able to:

•Identify potential extractable resources from diverted food wastes and discuss their benefits;
•Understand the hydrothermal carbonization process and how it may aid in the recovery of resources from diverted food wastes; and
•Compare resource recovery from diverted food wastes using hydrothermal carbonization with recovery using traditional waste management processes (e.g., composting).
