If you think waste is someone else’s problem, think again.

“Trashed” is a groundbreaking documentary examining the crisis of trash, highlighting how garbage threatens our health and our environment.

Save the Date! Join us to see ‘Trashed’ for free as the Auburn Sustainability Film Series returns Thursday, September 25, 2014. The film will be followed by a panel discussion of local experts, including King County EcoConsumer Tom Watson.

Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons sets out on a worldwide investigation into our global garbage problem. Using Irons as a guide, filmmaker Candida Brady’s ‘Trashed’ follows him on a journey around the planet to illustrate the scale of the challenge we face.

More importantly, ‘Trashed’ also carries a hopeful message about how communities around the world are already working to address the problem. You’ll also learn important lessons about how we can protect our vital natural resources through sustainable solutions.

‘Trashed’ will be presented from 6-9 p.m. at the Auburn Riverside High School Theatre, 501 Oravetz Road SE, Auburn, WA 98092. In addition to light refreshments, there will be informational tables and door prizes.
