Washington Organic Recycling Council will hold its Annual Convention in
Vancouver, WA at the Heathman Lodge on November 19-20, 2013. The
conference will be focused on "Compost Odors: Causes and Effects" and
the agenda is packed full of information.
After the annual
membership meeting from 1:00 - 2:30 on Tuesday, November 19, you won't
want to miss the workshop with instructors Michael McGinley of St. Croix
Sensory and Ray Porter of Odortech. This workshop runs from 2:30 -
5:30 and topics include:
- Understanding brain response to odors.
- Recognizing the emotional side of odors.
- Hands-on practice on evaluating samples.
- Creating a facility-specific "Odor Wheel".
- Analyzing odor strength.
- Identifying and characterizing odors.
- Using the Odor Wheel to characterize odors.
The President's reception begins at 8:00 for a fun social networking event.

Science", "Community Action to Perceived Odors", "Odor Lawsuits: How to
Avoid Them and What to Do when They Arise", and many more.
